I use the U.S. Postal Service Priority Mail
within the 48 contiguous states When you place your order with Maine Cakes & Cookies a freshly baked cake, bar or cookie order is carefully packed and shipped via U.S. Postal Service Priority Mail for delivery to you or your recipient. The U.S. Postal Service Priority Mail shipment takes approximately 2-3 days, however, an exact arrival date is NOT guaranteed by the U.S. Postal Service.
If your
shipment is time sensitive U.S. Postal Service Express Mail is an available
option with 1-2 day delivery - please note that is is a "commitment", not a
guarantee! The shipping charges are added to your order…please note that the shipping charges are per item, not per order, as each tin or bulk cookie order is packed individually in a 12”x12”x8” box filled with shipping peanuts to ensure your baked goods arrive in excellent condition! The quantity of bulk cookies will vary in each box depending on the size of the cookie and the amount of bubble wrap needed to safely ship and protect your cookies...please contact me about bulk cookie shipping and the number of boxes that will be needed to complete your order. Thank you! Please know that I take great pride baking, decorating and packaging all hand decorated custom cookies. Despite my very best efforts to bubble pack, protect and pack beautiful whole cookies to ship, cookies are by nature a breakable product. Sometimes, although very rarely, events during shipping happen that are beyond my control and cookies may arrive that are broken or damaged in some way. I have found this to be true of all of the major delivery carriers including USPS, UPS, and FedEx. My cookies are baked-to-order-from-scratch especially for you. Therefore, replacement of broken or damaged cookies is usually not an option as time does not permit this before your event date. For cookies that you receive broken or damaged, please notify Maine Cakes & Cookies within 24 hours of the USPS (or other selected carrier) scanned delivery time of your package to start the process toward a refund. I require that all the broken or damaged cookie pieces be returned to Maine Cakes & Cookies prior to the event date for proof of damage along with the original packaging and shipping materials…please note these returned cookies are destroyed and are not resold! Upon my receipt of the cookies and shipping materials Maine Cakes & Cookies will reimburse you 100% of the purchase price for the number of returned broken or damaged cookies. This refund does not apply to any shipping & handling costs. Please return the cookies using a method that allows you to track and confirm that Maine Cakes & Cookies received the returned cookies. Please note that refunds for cookies sent to gift recipients will be refunded to the purchaser and not to the gift recipient. The same documentation for refunds will apply to a gift recipient as to the purchaser of the cookies. Cookies that are not delivered to you within 9 days of the shipping date are considered by me to be lost and a full refund including shipping & handling will be made to you. Please make sure that you order your cookies to be delivered in time for your special event…I can help you with scheduling this. If a delivery is scanned as being made by the USPS, UPS, FedEx, or other selected carrier, or, if notice of attempted delivery is left by the shipping carrier for you to come pick up the package then no claims will be accepted and no refunds made for any cookies claimed to be missing or not delivered. The final authority as to whether a delivery has been made, and the time of delivery, will be the time the delivery was scanned by the carrier selected for your order or the time notice of attempted delivery was made to your destination address.
